Spooky stuff 1

For the halloween season, I'm telling some of my personal experiences :)

I'd like to start by saying I don't consider myself to be psychic or even a person who can see and understand the supernatural, it just so happens I can be sensitive to these things at certain times ... particularly when my mind is free from stress.

The man at the window

My first experience started when I was in third year high school. It was early at night just around 7 - 8 p.m., I was at home typing a report for our Pilipino subject. Almost everyone was at home, so the atmosphere wasn't spooky at all.

My uncle usually comes home around 9 - 10 p.m., so I was surprised to see him by the window seemingly waiting for someone downstairs. I thought it was him because he's the only one who wore barong at work. Upon closer observation I noticed this person to be older, with white hair even ... so for sure it wasn't my uncle ... may be a visitor then?

So there I was, observing this guy for 10 minutes. When I set to approach our visitor, I noticed something about him which was very weird. I couldn't tell what it was at the time, I thought I could see through him a bit! As I was getting closer and closer with amazement and curiosity, I blinked and then he was gone! :O

Feet without the body

My second experience happened about a year after the first. It's probably the funniest one for me, because I freaked out. It was when my uncle's house was still being constructed (oh my ... I haven't told them this story because I didn't want them spooked :P), my dad and I went there to check things out. He left me alone for a while to talk to some of the workers (there wasn't many left as it was in the finishing stages).

It took a while, I was getting bored. it was hot, just after lunch time around 1 - 2 p.m.. I stared on one of the windows where I saw someone's feet strolling by ... except it wasn't a reflection! If it was, how could I have seen it on the door area where there wasn't a mirror!? :O

A set of faded transparent feet just walking by without a body! I looked for a logical path to which it could be going ... I saw a the stairs to the 2nd floor. Courageousness or rather stupidity filled me, I ran up to the second floor and demanded it "to show itself"! I shouted at it a couple of times.

3 minutes later, thinking of how I'd handle the situation if it had showed itself ... I panicked and ran outside the compound ;P I could laugh at it now but what I did was really stupid, who does that?

Anyway, I told this story to my Mom and as it turns out a worker had been murdered when the house at the early stages of construction. Is it his ghost? who knows? I just prayed for the spirit the second time I went there.

It's weird seeing ghosts, at first you think you're losing it. But I know it's real, I've had some accounts where I wasn't the only one feeling or seeing things (which I think proves that there was something there). I got used to it after the 4th or 5th time it happened ... I don't see stuff all the time anyway. Plus, my faith pretty much assures me that there's nothing to be afraid off :)

I'm so glad that I have only one creepy story to tell! I'm a bit of a scardey cat so I don't think I can take the ghostly pressure.

Your stories are spookier than mine and thank goodness for that! Happy Halloween!

I was a bit scared too at first, then I accepted the existence of these things and though of them as natural phenomena. It's faith I rely on, I believe they can't hurt me with my armor (faith).

Happy Haunts! :D
