7 truths about me

I've been tagged by Rad of Geekarooni to write 7 truths about me.

My 7 truths:

1. Some people are dog lovers, some are cat lovers ... I'm one of the few who are caught in between. I love animals, I love pets ... both have special qualities to them. I just happened to grow up from a family who love to keep pets. Right now we happen to own 4 cats, 4 dogs, a bird, a few goldfishes, and some turtles my uncle brought home.

2. I wish I got into sports at a younger age. I envy people who are skilled in martial arts, and can do insane acrobatics an average person can't. It's just because I know that no matter how hard I try my body might not be able to be as good as those that had years as a head start, and whose bodies are still able to adapt to the skill requirement.

3. The reasons above is half the reason why I'm so into the male soap opera which is pro wrestling :P The high flying acts, the fighting skill ... throw in the over the top personas and unbelievable (sometime ridiculous) storylines and you have a real life superhero/cartoon characters come to life.

4. A bit of a thrill seeker (by idea, and not by practice ;P). I'm into scary rides, uncertain adventures, and I'd like to try some real extreme sports if I could. I already love wall climbing ... I bet rock climbing, bungee jumping, rappelling and skydriving would be much more awesome :D

5. I consider myself lucky with my profession. I've wanted to take up fine arts in college, but my family voted against it and told me to reconsider because "walang pera sa fine arts" (there's no money in art). I took my second option/interest which was Electronics, became and engineer and ended up with a job which is in between both profession. I'm now a 3D artist / FX artist / Tech. Director, funny how things work out :D

6. I like to listen to things while I work. By listen I don't mean music alone, sometimes I have a movie running on the side of my desktop (minimized into a small screen size) and I'm just listening to the conversations going on. I have this belief that I work faster with a busy noisy environment, and the videos provide for that. I picked this up working on all those buzzer beater film festival entries I worked on in the past years, I guess I thrive on the pressure ... though there are rare times where I prefer silence and concentration.

7. I don't consider myself an impulsive buyer. I usually save up for the bigger more important things and let the small ones go. When I really want something, it usually takes 5 visits or so before I actually go for it.

I guess I'm done! Now I have to pass this on to 10 blog friends.

Here are the rules:

1. Mention the person who tagged you and create a link back to them.
2. Pick 10 others you would like to get to know better.
3. Let them know you’ve tagged them by leaving a comment on their blog.
4. And don’t forget to give them the rules.

It’s that simple.

Now for the tagging, I usually let the tagging part go ... but since that's the rule I have to tag even the most non-blog-responsive of my blog friends (you know who you are ;P). For those that had done this it's up to you if you still want to do it again :)

Oops, could you delete my first comment. Entered my e-mail address as blog address info.

Thanks for the tag. I'll put it on my GROWING to-do list of meme tags.

Yeah, my blog is a meme tag virgin. I haven't done any of them... yet, but I do plan on doing them.

RE:
#1 I'm both a dog, cat and aquarium fish... lover. I used to TOTALLY dislike cats until my Uncle gave Max to us. The rest is history.

#4 Bungee jumping. Ah, yes... did it once. I almost peed in my pants.

#5 I consider myself... well paid with my profession. Not sure about lucky. Sort of fell into it. Actually, I'm thinking of switching careers.

#6 I like to sleep while I work.

#6 Impulse buying is never a good thing. I do, however, like to splurge once in a while, but only after careful consideration.

I agree with you on number 5...there was a time when I wasn't sure if I made the right decision by being a video editor cause I'm more inclined to be in production since I graduated from Comm. Arts but it turned out quite well...I'll talk about that soon, I don't want to jinx things up, lol.

thanks! :)

i help my uncle, the family doctor work on his lecture posters, t-shirts designs (for his dept.), and video presentations. i've also seen ads for amateur painting contests for medical professionals in the hospital he works at. so i'm pretty sure you can, you may even win something! :D

We do have some similarities in there. :D

I am not that much into sports (ewan ko kung counted ang table tennis sa kanto kung minsan), hindi rin gaanong adept ang katawan ko pagdating sa mga ganyan-ganyan. Hindi nga ako marunong masyado sa basketball, to start with.

Male Soap Opera = Pro-Wrestling = WINNER. :D

Thrill seeker by idea, and sometimes by practice. :D

Glad to hear that you have a career that's both enjoyable and very productive.

As a sport, pwede talaga i-count yung ping pong :) Contact sport nga lang yung mas preferred ko.

Thanks :)
