Wii-ing my options
As I said before in my seven truths post, I'm usually a thrifty person (not with food ;P) that likes to save for the bigger stuff. The same is true with my gift giving style. Celebrating Christmas, I usually don't buy individual gifts for our family but instead buy something that all of us can enjoy or actually need. In the past years we had a (an item a year mind you ;P) new TV, washing machine, home theater (the affordable one) ... you get the picture.
This year I'm being tempted to hit 2 birds with one stone by buying a Nintendo Wii system! I've been a fan of this console ever since I've heard of it. Finally! a system that has almost every game designed to exercise other parts of your body aside from your muscular thumb and index finger. I've listed down my pros and cons of actually buying it just to help me with my decision.
Pros:
- Good choice of game console
- Exercise while gaming
- I'm done choosing a gift for the family this year
- Fun, fun and extra fun!
Cons:
- Above my budget limit (but is manageable if I tighten my belt next year)
- I'm only home (at my parents house) during the weekends and holidays
- May affect my 2 sisters studies (as if they're not already competing at PC game playing)
- Higher electricity bills
Well? I'm leaning towards not (not yet ... that is, but an extra nudge might do me in ;P). But I think this is the console that I'll eventually get ... may be if the price goes down a bit more I'll eventually take the plunge. Why? well ...
Who's never heard of this yet? here's some of the trailers.

Of course there's wrestling! see how fun that looks.

Some other cool games like this one, that even the stars enjoy!
Wii Harry Potter
And then there's Ghostbusters which is for release next year ...

I really love it's extra interactivity. It may have not been around when RPG games were getting better but Nintendo's back baby! :D
